(KFYI News) A new method for treating a serious heart condition is now in clinical trials. Dr. Vijay Swarup with Arizona Heart Hospital says the NMARQ catheter is very promising.
He says it burns up to ten areas on the heart at a time. Current methods can only treat one area of the heart at a time.
Atrial fibrillation, or irregular heartbeart, is a leading cause of stroke among people 65 and older.
